More Dead

Ok so a post relevant to my last. i was on a plane going down to Georgia to see my bother at school and i was sitting between this one man who cleared his throat the entire flight and a girl who smelled pretty bad actually and i could hear her music over my headphones also. But that is besides the point! i was being nosy and peeking through the seats and reading the mans newspaper that he was holding it said something along the lines of "The dead is still grateful for their fans" then the man proceeded to sneeze all over the news paper and get it rather wet with well you know.. and so i couldn't make out some of the words but they are doing a reunion tour and i actually cant wait to look into this further!

The classics will never die.

so im back in school after a few days of having a stomach virus. Im currently in my journalism class and listening to my teacher talk to the other students and reading Rolling Stone, i went to look up the artist of the day it just so happened to be the Greatful Dead, i sat there and wondered why would a band such as "the Dead' be on the top artists of today, it is deffinately a band that i do listen to and i am familiar wih their music i even own some of their albums on vynal. Thinking to myself what a great band, but suitable for today? then even though i have always been one to preach that the classics never do die, i found myself to be in a state of controdiction. The classics never do die, do they? and for a band such as the dead that have moved so many people and still seem to fall in that category of oxygen peoviding music that we still thrive on today, they will live for a while longer, but will this generation keep them alive? will they love them the way they used to be loved, can they? should they? is it worth it to love something you will never truyly see or expierience? this new generation will never have the expieriences that were had with the classic rock bands they have their own bands and music to love. Would it even have close to the same affects as it used to. Does it really matter? music is music the meaning will always be different to everyone but today mostly all that is "cool" or important about that sort of music would be the drugs that would accompany them. So there is my answer, the true, honest, love will die, but the music, the songs, the meaning and the soul will live on to every generation. We just have to make sure to keep holding on to it.

Warped was Sweet!

Ok so Warped Tour was pretty awesome I went with Mike a fellow blogian, but thats besides the point. i mean really when the day was done my EVERYTHING hurt, i hurt in places i didnt know could hurt, from walking, dancing, running, skanking it was a busy day! i got loads of free stuff too! I got posters and a Warped Tour 08 bag(i got it for bending my thumb backwards) and loads of free condoms which i suck in my moms purse when we got in the car and the phone call when she found them the next day was rather amusing. Any way Katy Perry was actually really good GASP! you say? ..... so did I... Say Anything was good also obviously Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish was wonderful. I met so many people and yes most of them were passed out on the ground from dehydration.. but i survived the sun! yes! i know you are all thrilled.... but i happen to be exhausted from this day and am going to bed early for once in my own bed! yay!

Who is Physced for Warped Tour oh 8?!

ok so this year Warped Tour which if you are a teenager from the planet Earth should know what it is, but for those"Aliens" out there it is a huge concert with some of the year and generations most popular bands. Warped Tour spans all the way from Cali to Canada this year hosting more locally in"my neck of the woods" is in English Town Playing will be Gym Class Heros, Reel Big Fish(a more popular Ska band", Katy Perry singer of the newly discovered song "I kissed a girl" Cobra Starship of whom had a song featured in supposed low budget but then (for some reason) taken an interest in and hollywood risen movie"Snakes on a Plane" with Samuel L. Jackson and later branched out from there. Angels and Airwaves.... eh not for me but to others may be considered as "heavenly". The Color Fred, Everything Must die, The Story of the Year and sooo many more its going to be a hot and hopefully hydrated day for everyone. we can only cross our fingers that almost no one passes out this year from the heat.... but then if they didn't it wouldn't be Warped Tour now would it?

you CAN rock too hard

So the other night i was on the treadmill and Rockin out to my favorite Slayer song"Dead Skin Mask" and as some of you may know i have a sprained ankle and i finally took "the boot" off and was feeling very ready for some action(any movement really i was hobbling for like a month) so anyway i was also watching Family Guy on TBS so i didn't have that "lonely feeling" where you are all alone like at night when u need to sleep with the TV on (that feeling) any who back to the treadmill i was very into my music and my "intense work out" (grrr) and my sprained ankle got caught in the front spinny belt thing and i tripped.....

CONCLUSION:
you CAN rock too hard
